My “Best of Brussels” series is gradually growing to gather all my absolute favourite finds in our little EU capital. After spotting the best burger joints in Brussels, I was on to another foodie mission: the quest for the best pizza in town! After a lot of research and way too many slices of the ultimate comfort food (all for the sake of the blog of course!), I finally narrowed it down to four restaurants.

 PIZZA SACO

This cozy pizzeria in Scharbeek makes delicious pizzas in a wood fired-oven. A good option for a relaxed dinner as it’s open only in the evening. Try the Tartufina and make sure you reserve in advance as this spot is a neighbourhood favourite! > Read the full review here <

 LA BOTTEGA DELLA PIZZA

An authentic trattoria in Saint-Gilles run by an Italian who has won the award for the “Best Pizza Maker in Belgium” in 2013. Generous portions, fresh ingredients and rather slow service, which is worth the wait nontheless. > Read the full review here <

 PIZZERIA POSTO AL SOLE

Pizzeria Posto al Sole or Momo, as the locals call it, is one of the most popular ones in Brussels. Here you’ll find thinly-crusted pizzas like in Napoli, including the famous half-metre one (“mezzo metro”). Extra bonus: the spacious terrace overlooking Place de Bethléem on sunny days! > Read the full review here <

 MiTo

Right opposite Tenbosch park, this lovely spot combines tradition with a modern twist! The famous Napoli dough is made from a different flour that makes it lighter and is topped with top quality ingredients from Italian producers. Enjoy with a great cocktail on their spacious terrace. > Read the full review here <
