PIZZA LILOO

Pizza Liloo was love at first bite – so much so that it has become ever since one of my favourite pizza joints in Brussels! Tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood in Etterbeek, Pizza Liloo is a very warm and welcoming space defined by exposed brick walls, dim lighting and a few tables overlooking the open kitchen around the wood-fired oven, where the magic happens.

The restaurant is a family affair whereby each member has a different responsibility. After the friendly staff take your order, you can watch your pizza getting baked right from your table. No matter how many times I’ve watched the whole process before, pizza making is always fascinating. I mean, isn’t all this tossing impressive?

Pizza Liloo is rich in flavour and has great texture – the dough is thin, as crisp as it should be and topped with generous amounts of fresh toppings. Truth is, I have tried several combinations overtime, but my favourites are the pizza Lolik (cherry tomatoes, Parma ham, mozzarella di bufala and fresh basil) and the Matteo (peppers, onions, cherry tomatoes, burrata and sweet basil). The good news is that Pizza Liloo is open for dinner (18.00 – 23.00) throughout the week, including Sunday, and they do takeaway. Enjoy!
