LA VALEE VILLAGE
Being always on the lookout for shopping items that are economical yet satisfy my guilty pleasure for designer pieces, I’ve been to La Valée Village several times now. Only a short ride away from Paris (it’s actually on the way to Eurodisney), this discount village offers a good selection of branded goods within a walkable space that is clean and easy to navigate. Having said that, luck has to be on your side when going on your shopping spree: while sometimes there are plenty of stuff to choose from, others colours and sizes seem limited. I usually score at Longchamp, so if you are a devotee of this French brand, give it a go!
All in all, if you happen to be in Paris during the non-sale period and are in the mood for a bit of shopping, La Valée Village is worth a quick trip. A couple of hours will do the trick, plus you can have a quick coffee before going back to the city. How to get there? Take the RER A line and take off at Val d’Europe station – it takes about 40 mins and costs around €13. If you are not a big fan of the Parisian public transport, try the outlet’s coach. Once you register online with the outlet as a member, you will get to know about their members-only offers and VIP events. Happy shopping!
