KAMI

In recent years Brussels has been blessed with a lot of great coffee spots and I’m happy to report that new great places keep popping up around town! Kami is one of the latest additions and after several visits, it has rightfully become one of my favourite coffee spots in Brussels

The star here is the coffee which is organic and roasted in Belgium at Kolonel. Ever since I completed my barista training I have become very selective when it comes to coffee but Kami has won me over in all fields. Both their cold brew and filter coffee are great, but the one I keep going back to is their flat white. Bonus points for presentation – I mean, how pretty are those ceramic cups by Kim Verbeke? Besides coffee, you’ll find Belgian beers, tea and hot chocolate, so there’s really something to choose from no matter the time you visit.

If you get peckish, there are sandwiches made with the amazing bread of Hopla Geiss, plant-based cakes from The Cookie Tree and a granola bowl which comes recommended! Things I also love about Kami: their terrace which is lovely on a sunny day, the kind service and the relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and the floor tiles! If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I fancy randomly spotting beautiful floor patters around the city, so I smiled when I came across not one but two different patterns at Kami. It’s the little things…

Whether you are a coffee lover or are just looking for a new local favourite, do try Kami and make sure you send me a picture on Instagram using the #seemybrussels hashtag. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
