HARDWARE SOCIETE
There are seeminlgy endless options when it comes to brunch in Paris but a few of them truly stand out. That’s the case with Hardware Societe, a cozy all-day cafe just minutes away from the Basilica of Sacré Coeur in the Montmartre.
Back in 2009 Di and Will Keser opened their first spot in Melbourne. Five years later, they feel head over heels with Paris and decided to create another branch there. In 2016, Hardware Societe opened its doors in Paris and went from strength to strength, followed by a third one in Barcelona. On my last trip to Paris, I made my way to try their Aussie brunch and it didn’t disappoint!
First things first, the food! Aussies know how to brunch and this place is no exception: here you’ll find all the usual suspects perfectly executed, including eggs Benedict with a lobster, fried eggs and pork belly, baked eggs, French toast, yummy viennoiseries and pastries. Coffee was great too, so it was only fair to include it amongst my favourite coffee spots in Paris! Service is friendly and there’s a small outdoor terrace which makes it a great pit stop before or after exploring the Montmartre hillside.
Note they don’t take reservations, so be early or patient if there is already a queue when you arrive. And if you do try it, feel free to send me a picture on Instagram and let me know how you liked it!
