OENOTK

Although Belgians are avid beer lovers, Brussels isn’t short in options when it comes to wine bars. Case in point: Oenotk, a wine bar in the area of Chatelain right behind the Trinity church and not far from the main square where the famous market takes place, which happens to be one of the best wine bars in Brussels.

Oenotk is a small yet welcoming space where wine reigns. Both a wine bar and a wine cellar, it offers a great wine selection from different regions worldwide that you can either take away or enjoy at the premises together with some very tasty nibbles. You’re definitely spoilt with choice between classic wine labels and a bit more unexpected ones. Being the baby of two friends and wine lovers who followed their dream to open a wine bar, Oenotk is not a place just for wine connoisseurs but rather anyone who loves wine, so don’t be afraid to seek advice from the staff who’s more than happy to help.

Aside from the wine, another reason to become a regular at Oenotk is their tapas, ranging from cheese and charcuterie to even more special treats. My favourite? The toasted bread with tartufata, i.e. mushroom and truffle spread – I can never seem to get enough of it! Oenotk also hosts wine tasting events, which based on what I’ve heard, are a success. Be warned that the seating is limited, so make sure to arrive early to grab a spot and enjoy!
