THE S FILES – JULY EDITION
Life is all about celebrating the little things – the first snow of the year, a day at the beach, a blossomed flower, a fun evening with friends, ice cream on a hot day, the smell of rain, discovering hidden corners in the city you’ve lived for years… Every month I’m sharing with you all those moments captured through my camera that made each day special. This has been undeniably one of the longest and most consistent sunny summers I’ve ever experienced in Brussels. One word: bliss! I was all about lazy strolls around the city, dining al fresco with friends, my favourite fruits in larger quantities than I’d like to admit and summery colorful purchases.
Apart from celebrating the Belgian National Day with hundreds of festive fireworks, I discovered great new spots: Playground for tapas and killer cocktails, Le Pavillon Louis XV for a great Sunday brunch at the park, L’Atelier en Ville for a coffee at the cutest little city garden and Coloma Rose Garden, a beautiful place full of gorgeous roses from all over the world, just a short ride away from Brussels.
You know how much I love travelling, so I simply couldn’t resist a few short escapes from Brussels. Weekends in Paris, Leuven and Ghent made July all the more memorable!
I am currently spending the first part of my long-awaited summer holidays in Stockholm, the beautiful Swedish capital, which has literally stole my heart! My tips for those who wish to visit the city at some point: lunch at Lisa Elmquist to taste some of Stockholm’s finest seafood, Café Saturnus for the giant cinnamon rolls and a cruise at the Swedish archipelago – memories to treasure! More spots coming soon – stay tuned and enjoy the sunshine! And don’t forget to follow me on Instgram!
