DOORS OF BRUSSELS
Remember how I’ve confessed my mild obsession with Brussels’ pretty doors? Well, I’m happy to report it’s still going pretty strong! I can’t seem to get enough of them, so aside from sharing my favourite ones on Instagram, I decided to create a mini photography series here on the blog too.
Truth is, there’s a #doortrait craze at the moment on social media and I totally get it. Doors represent the beauty of the ordinary and make me wonder what mysteries lurk behind them. Luckily, Brussels has tons of pretty doorways which usually end up on my Instagram! If you follow me, I bet you’ve already seen plenty of them popping up every now and then in your feed – some of my favourites include these, this and these. What I love is that I’m constantly surprised by my discoveries around town. I mean, how original (and slightly creepy at the same time) is that letter box cover with a pair of staring eyes? Or this hand-painted portrait next to an otherwise ordinary door?
If you also happen to have a thing for beautiful doors, feel free to show me on Instagram using the #seemybrussels hashtag. In the meantime, watch this space for the third post of the series as my quest for Brussels’ prettiest doors continues…
