COMPTOIR FLORIAN

Le Comptoir Florian is a little gem for tea lovers and definitely one of the best tea rooms in Brussels. Located in a beautiful Art Nouveau townhouse close to Place Saint-Boniface, it’s a great spot to enjoy a cuppa tea in peaceful surroundings.

Every time I step in it feels like I’m passing through a time capsule and find myself in a dazzling colonial house with the cutest vintage details: comfy leather armchairs, soft lighting, Chinese antique tea boxes, a beautifully tiled floor and the embroidered umbrella of my dreams. Apart from the relaxing atmosphere, it’s the tea selection that makes me come back so often. Behind the little counter in the entrance numerous tea varieties from all over the world are displayed in pretty tins, ready for you to take home or enjoy at the premises together with a slice (or two) of homemade cake (the pecan pie and chocolate cake are my favourite). If you’re a coffee lover, you won’t be disappointed either as here they also serve premium blends.

Le Comptoir Florian is a place to relax and empty your mind. No matter how many times I come here, there’s always a new magazine or interesting book to keep me company while I sip my tea. Make sure you find a table in the cozy tiny room in the back, switch off your mobile phone and enjoy!
