WEEKEND READS #16
Weekends are the perfect time to sit back, relax and enjoy! And what better way to do that than discovering great recipes, exciting travel destinations, new restaurants and interesting articles? Once per month I’m sharing with you my favorite weekend reads from the blogsphere and beyond to keep you inspired. I’d love to hear yours, so do share!
♥ After seeing Marieke’s travel diary from Nicaragua, I realized how beautiful this country really is. Yet another destination added to my bucket list!
♥ Parisians are spoilt with choice when it comes to restaurants. And although they are notorious for sticking to all things French, these days they’re willing to try new trends more than ever before. According to Wendy, these are the best places to eat and drink in Paris right now.
♥ Taking pictures of your food at restaurants is not so uncommon nowadays. Although I’ve been blogging for quite some time now, I can’t help but feel awkward sometimes by those “What on earth is she doing?” looks on people’s faces whenever I point my camera at my dish. But is this really upsetting or even impolite? This article on the NY Times provides food for thought on the subject.
♥ A few weeks ago I came across this mouthwatering image of warm brie with figs and pistachio tapenade on Pinterest. Although Christmas is long gone, I decided it was good enough to be added to the Sunday brunch menu I hosted recently. By the way, if you happen to love brunch as much as I do, make sure to check out my favourite brunch spots in Brussels.
Hope you all have a great weekend! x
