Busaba Eathai is no secret to the London restaurant world and understandably so; it offers reasonably priced good Thai food in key locations around London. Personally, I always go for the spacious branch in Bird Street, just a stone’s throw from the bustling Oxford Street and all its stores.

The most important tip I can give you right upfront: Don’t get intimidated by the long queue; it moves quickly as the service is very efficient. There are no bookings here and given Busaba’s reputation, you can always find people lining up to enjoy its fabulous thai calamari and pad thai! The best time to pop by would be around 6ish, after a shopping spree at Selfridge’s. A golden Buddha statue, candles and flowers floating in water and the intoxicating smell of an exotic incense welcome you as you enter. Take a seat at one of the wooden communal tables and enjoy under the smooth lighting an early supper or a cup of tea accompanied by the most delicious ginger biscuits you’ve ever tasted!
